Trick by Patrick C. Greene

Toby is the goody2shoes rich kid who wants to rebel and Kell is the nasty, obviously misunderstood, delinquent; two kids who think they have the upper hand on the Trick part of Halloween.
Yes the characters are cliché but that only adds to the story as you are left to focus on the impending doom, destruction and horror.

Its Halloween night and a group of youngsters are enthralled by a tale of creepy old lady misdeeds and some young ghosties.

As the tale unfolds the true horrors come to life, I found the constant "reforming" of the triangle formation really gave me the creeps, reminding me of the relentlessness of ghosts.

I would be interested to see Toby in a few years time!
