As a ghost is shown his past by The Shade all manner of emotions are dragged from you by JK.

The ethereal writing style really lends itself well to this ghastly subject matter as JK walks you through a torturous carnival scene of pain and terror.

Trapped then in the present and tied in a unique way to a solid place the ghost must suffer more to atone for his previous sins, I think he is still enjoying it a bit too much though!

As the norm’ for JK another perfect story, not a dot or thought out of place!

What do you feel your life is worth? Are you ready to die right now and leave this world behind for the unknown of the afterlife? Well when I read this I was not so sure in the beginning but this story grew into something poetic and amazing right before my eyes.

Artie had his world torn to pieces at a young age and ended up in the bottle and on the streets. His life was nothing to anyone, not even him. When a bout of pneumonia and a lot of rum causes him to make a deal that will cost him almost everything he knows he finds out that the world is not only made up of bad deals and evil magic but it is also made of the white light of love and goodness.

Really enjoyed this one and hope to read some more of Jeffrey Kosh's work really soon!

Home Invasion

When I first started reading this short story I understood from the first that it was very much the erotic read that it claims to be but the passion only last a few minutes. 

Who is this man who has invaded a couple who has not done anything wrong? What is this man going to make a husband watch him do wife?

These are just a couple of questions that Kevin has running through his mind as his wife Samantha is left to the mercy of this sexy invading beast.

As in true Jeffrey Kosh writing style the subject matter may be disturbing at some points and hard to imagine (if you even want to imagine) but his words are never disturbing or vulgar and his writing is easy to read and follow through the worst of scenes.

As a reader I want to place a small warning for other readers, this story contains some strong sexual scenes that may be disturbing to people who are sensitive to sexual violence. 

This is an erotic thriller and please keep that in mind when you purchase and read this story.

The South Will RiseAgain

This is a short story and a quick read but it is also very gripping and suspenseful. 

Once I started the first sentence, Jeffrey Kosh had my imagination in the palm of his hands.

Imagine being a civil war solider being killed in battle only to awaken to not only have your fears in life come back upon you but to have to face evil like you have never known and find out your part of it.

Get this story. Read it. You will not be sorry.

Dead Men Tell NoTales

This is a great pirate story that you can't help but love from the first word to the last. It has the horror and suspense that keeps you wanting more along with characters whom you will never forget.

As you will find when you read this book there is a story within a story what you will find is love, loss and emotion within the horror and fear that I enjoyed so very much.

This is a great story for a low price so pick it up and enjoy it :o) I did!!

Stryx

I doesn't matter what subject matter or genre Jeffery Kosh chooses to write about he is able to write with all of he passion he feels in his heart with every word in every story. 

This short is no different. He is able to bring the fears and loneliness of the main character in the story to life in your minds eye so that you are absorbed by every emotion.

When Cardinal Lodovico Strigidi is plagued by the sounds of a creature that he feels is the messenger of evil and death he would give anything to make it go away, but when he realizes that there is no on in the world that can be there for him and help him the fear and despair only grows.

This is a must read short for all who love a bit of potery and despair in your life.

REVENANT

This is a wonderful story that will take you throught every emotion of man not only in life but in death as well.

Armand Bouvier lets is jealously get the best of him were his love Valerie is concerned and once this extreme feeling has taken hold he can not help himself, he must kill the man that is causing him so much hate. But what Armand dosen't understand is that he is being played the fool.

This story takes you through some of the darker sides of voodoo and black magic and you just can't wait to turn the page to see what is going to happen next.

Thrill of the Hunt

This book is very much the erotic thriller that it claims to be. 

Jeffrey Kosh has a way with words to make this book flow in a very lustful and unexpected way. His descriptions of the human body and the state of mind his characters within these steamy pages will leave you longing to turn the page, and all this why weaving a thriller and a story of the hunter becoming the hunted.

Jeffrey has a way of giving more to each of his lead characters. In this book the man is Slade Carver. As you read you find that Slade is more than just the hot and sexy cowboy. 

He is really just a lost soul in need of rescuing and who is trapped by something, or someone who is more than he ever thought possible.

Please keep in mind if you purchase this book that it is an EROTIC THRILLER and in being so does have some very descriptive sexual scenes and sexual suggestions throughout. But as with all of Jeffrey's writing, he writes in a manner where his words allow you to feel the passion and emotion that is taking place in that moment and his words are never disturbing in any way.

Prosperity Glades

Once again Jeffrey Kosh gives you a glimpse of how dark his mind can be and how the darkness of Prosperity Glades can find it's own way to imbed itself within the darkest parts of your imagination.

In this book you get some background into a dark and fearful world where you can never quite tell who will be taken captive by one of the many spirits that inhabit a small Florida county that has been inhabited by evil for as long as the land has been there. 

Every story within this book will make you want to learn more about what is happening in Prosperity. What will you believe when you finish reading? Well I'll tell you that you will learn how your own mind can feel the fear and you will be left with a feeling of uneasy.

This is not a book for the faint hearted but you don't have to be a hard core horror fan to enjoy it. 

I will let you know that there are parts of this book that involve children and tackle the taboo subject of child abuse but everything is very tastefully written and nothing in Jeffrey's writing is ever anymore uncomfortable to read than it is intended to be.

 Every detail is just enough to let you feel the emotion that is happening at that time in the story, weather it be pain, fear, hate, sadness or even pleasure that can take a life of it's own from a woman's lust.

A must read book for all horror fans, but I would like to advise that everyone read Feeding The Urge before reading this one to better understand the characters that take a life of their own in both of these books.

Feeding the Urge

This book has so much going on within the pages that once you start it you will never have to worry about your mind wondering off in a different direction. 

In the beginning it is a story about Dr. Axel Hyde but it becomes so much more. There are so many different stories within this book it is crazy, but it all works and flows so well together.

This book does have some very adult situations and it does have some very taboo subject matter that a lot of people my want to turn away from the book but I can assure you that this book is very well thought out and written in a way that some of the subject matter is never to overwhelming. 

The characters are so well written that it is very easy for them to become real in your mind. You are able to feel the pain and hate and fear of each and everyone of them and that is what made this book so amazing for me.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a good captivating read and as much as you wouldn't think it being in a book like this, there is a bit of romance and a hot and steamy part.

  What is your favourite sandwich? Drink? Chocolate/candy bar? (you can just pick one if you like!)

  Well, I’m not very picky with food, as I love almost everything my stomach can digest. I had alligator meat in Florida, snake in Thailand, some kind of cheese with live worms in Sardinia, and a lot of strange stuff. But I must admit that bugs, no matter what they say, don’t taste like shrimps … they taste of … sh@t. Now my favorites: coffee (lotsa o’ it), Brit fish n’ chips, quiche Lorraine, all kind of pasta.

  
  

  Do you have a favourite place to write?

  I need isolation when I write. I don’t mind music, but I need to focus on my characters and details, so I get easily distracted. Like cats, my hunting instinct is attracted by all kind of movement. Seriously. You roll a ball in front of me and my eyes dart after it.

  
  

  Who or What is your personal favourite character/novel?

  The Frankenstein’s creature. I have a strong affinity with that character. He reminds me of Lucifer in Paradise Lost, Caliban in The Tempest, and myself. As for my favorite book, well, that’s easy: Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley.

  
  

  If you had a theme track, what would it be?

  There are many songs I associate with me. I love country, blues, hard rock, metal, but I can just go crazy for some modern classic composer. Have to pick one, right? Okay: ‘Dark Night’ by The Blasters. You know that piece at the beginning of From Dusk Till Dawn? Yeah, that’s my pick today. But if you ask me tomorrow …

  
  

  If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

  Teleport. I traveled a lot in my life, and still do. But I really hate taking a plane, coach, or train. Heck, I even hate taxis! Point is, I like driving, being in control of my trip, stopping whenever I want, going from point A to point B at my pace, not at the whims of a driver or pilot. Back in the States, I used to drive for long distances, enjoying the whole trip. Roads, especially in the Southwest, are like being on Star Trek: you never know what can be out there and you can surely have some strange and memorable encounters. Like that time I was traveling from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. Couple of rednecks spotted my California license plate and decided to play a prank to a city slicker: they pulled beside me and pointed a revolver to my face. I thought I was being hijacked, but they just wanted to scare me. That’s all.

  My review of Dead Men Tell No Tales.

  
  

  Whilst Pirates and ghost stories would not normally be my “thing” any story that you pick up from the Kosh is going to be amazing, so I dived in!
  

  The spread of characters is diverse; each has a very in depth personality and reason for being part of the story. Drake is a bit of phwoar he certainly knows how to create some swash and buckle. 

  Initially I found the verse and tone of the book hard to get into, especially the Creole language but this added to the spook element, the character definition and eventually I was so immersed in this world the difficulty slid away.

  When the Risen slaver is described with its undead crew I must admit to feeling a little queasy, but as the story progresses even worse things come and I felt the hairs on my arms start to tingle a little.

  The fight scenes are full on pirate/undead and so descriptive that I could feel the splash of gore, pus and blood.

  Pirates of the Caribbean this is NOT but I think it would make an awesome film as the visuals are very intense.

  The real history that is interwoven throughout is very impressive and shows the depth of research and attention to detail that the Kosh has.

  The resulting climax to all the fights, intrigue, Voodoo, Plague and Undead is not disappointing and Kosh even manages to throw some love and sex in there!

  Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone wanting and fascinating if gory tale of the sea.

  
  

  Dead Men Tell No Tales
  

  
  

Well, this is a novella in as much as it has "few" words - but don't let that fool you! This story needs time, its like a fine Whisky (or bar of Galaxy choc!) that you want to savour over a period of time, allow to digest and then give you wind!

You cant rush your way through this novella, or expect to sit down for a few hours and devour it.

Although it may devour you! 

It starts off really gently, then slams you down and drags you, face down, into a pit of despair, just when you think your heart is finally pulled inside out, hope sprouts out... but not from where you were thinking!

Jeffrey Kosh is becoming much more lyrical/poetic in his writing, so much more descriptive, which is a wonderful thing, sort of... bearing in mind his chosen genre!

The stories are always dark and I love the little edge of morality that goes along with them; makes you think about the subjects many moons later.

All hail the Kosh.... brilliant read!

Feeding the Urge by Jeffrey Kosh

So this has now been updated and rewritten.

And WOW what a difference I really enjoyed this before but now its amazing! It reads so much better (IMO) and its so much more clear.

Just as terrfying and even more haunting. Jeffrey Kosh has such a unique style, it really gives you the jitters as you are calmly and beautifully led into hell!

Once past the first chapter I finally "got" what Mr Kosh was trying to tell me!   Written with such beautiful prose, so deep and involved it can sometimes be a little hard to get into, but like another wonderful author (Lori R. Lopez) he is WELL worth it.

The vision of pain motes will stay with me for a long time.

So, now, I was acquainted with both spirit and material worlds and introduced to Nemesis, a pain/rage spirit who was able to break through the barrier and become a "Rider" I was prepared for the in depth story which unfolded.

From the floaty spirit world Mr Kosh slams you face first on to the mortuary slab and introduces his first character, the wonderful Dr (Axel) Hyde - the tongue in cheek name was not lost on me (sharp tack me!).

Is he a vessel for the Rider or just a twisted, tortured soul? 

Using cleverly written memory lane scenarios we are led through all the horrors that he commits because of his Rider, the Urge he must Feed.

The second main character is a beautiful, and wronged woman, out for revenge with seemingly her own Rider to deal with.

As you are weaved around the Bayou with these two vying for top killing spot, so many other sub plots come into play, with some luscious giggle moments and some descriptions so vivid I could smell them.

However, I almost found the depth to which Mr Kosh goes into with these sub-plots a bit distracting, but that is just me, I only have so much memory available!

His clear talent for writing is abound in this, his first novel.

Having read shorter stories by Mr Kosh and loved them, he has now become a firm favourite and I look forward to more horrors from his exquisite mind.

Feeding the Urge

Revenant by Jeffrey Kosh

So much description and analogy, I was almost in sensory overload in the first chapter; forgetting my warm, comfy environment for the cold, wet and suddenly hard to breathe description.

I enjoyed the flashback history, little snaps of information.

Basically a tale of ghostly/zombie revenge with a good twist, but how wonderfully told. 

I love it when I need to look up words and the author actually shares their research info with you, the depth behind the story.

My first book by Jeffrey Kosh but definitely not my last; and if that cover doesn't give you the chills, well!

REVENANT

Stryx by Jeffrey Kosh

Written in the 1st person you are treated to the mind wanderings of the "Cardinal"; an Immortal being proudly telling you about himself whilst being hounded by an owl....

In his first musings I was left bereft at the damnation of immortality as he portrays his life.

There felt, to me, an undertone of religious faith vs scientific truth here... showing the great divide - giving me things to ponder.

The twist in the tale is a sad one.

Mr Jeffrey Kosh is so poetic in his delivery I was left feeling melancholy but in a truly relaxed way. He also manages to put such great information into his stories I was left educated, enlightened and entertained.

Home Invasion

WOW! this was not what I expected.... I was warned it was a little racey.... hahaha this is more like the Grand National than the local donkey derby!

Mr Koshs' writing skills are usually horror based in for me, so this was a surprise!

A real twist in the tale story of an unhappy married couple and how fantasy turns to reality during a home invasion.

The characters were interesting but as with all novellas you only get glimpses so they easily become cartoonish, not so much in this novella!

Really great read, will now be on the look out for other erotica written by  Jeffrey Kosh: Author Page!
